Interiors
Our interiors practice is led by founding director, Emma Cooke. Originally trained as a textile designer, Emma found her way into interiors around twenty five years ago through designing carpet patterns at Low & Bonar plc.
Over the years Emma has worked on a huge variety of projects around the world from airports to show homes, sports stadia to manor houses, boutique hotels and fine-dining restaurants to country cottages.
We believe you will find our approach refreshingly honest and straightforward. We treat every property as though it were our own home so, wherever possible, we encourage the re-use or up-cycling of clients’ sentimental possessions, rejecting the ‘blank canvas designer look’ in favour of a more eclectic, lived in feel. We want homes to feel like…well, homes.
Our signature look and feel is therefore incredibly relaxed and welcoming, with surprising juxtapositions of old and new creating a sense that the interior has evolved over time, just as country houses have done for centuries.
Furnished Holiday Lets
Whilst we continue to work on private clients’ own homes, a significant number of our projects in recent years - from cottages to castles - are for the furnished holiday let (FHL) market, where we have an established reputation for helping clients optimise their return on investment through enhancing their letting potential. Furnished holiday letting has seen significant growth in recent years and we are proud to have worked on some of the top income-generating holiday properties in the UK. So we know about the big (and the little) things that generate bookings and repeat business for clients. Our FHL service starts with your target customer profile in mind, designing a scheme that is practical, durable and beautiful. We work closely with property owners and marketing agents to take an interior scheme from an initial brief and budget through project management of the refurbishment to styling for photoshoots.
We invest in holiday let properties ourselves, so we share the owners’ perspective too.
